r/b on auctions?
Alright, this has to do with the auction threads mainly found in high end and sell forums. I was wondering what the purpose of it is. I have a vague idea, that it is the minimum someone would sell for, but if so, why not just make it the s/b?
Anyway, my question is what is the purpose of the r/b? Could someone please enlighten me. - Moon |

You appeal the clients with a cheap start price, hopping that they will overbid each other, going beyond the normal price.

Okay, so in essence, if you plan on trying to get something with an r/b on it, you should just bid at the r/b? because essentially it is the minimum they are going to sell it at?

It's generally what you could have it for IG, maybe a bit more. so if you buy it over the r/b, you probably better off buying it IG. That maybe explude really high end items

1. Free bumps. 2. More interest in your thread, as it will have multiple bids on it. 3. Could start a bidding war. It's annoying as a buyer to encounter a r/b that's higher than the s/b...but it's definitely a valid strategy. |
